CREATIVE METHODOLOGY (CM) 1 or 2 week course
Our Creative Methodology course aims to provide foreign language teachers with a greater range of techniques and tools that they can employ in the classroom, whether it is in the primary, secondary or adult sector. The course focuses mostly on activities that are adaptable to a variety of learners and teaching situations as well as giving teachers an overview of the technologies available for language learning.
CONTENT LANGUAGE AND INTEGRATED LEARNING (CLIL) 1 or 2 week course
CLIL is becoming increasingly popular in Europe as an efficient way of combining language and subject learning whether at primary, secondary or adult level. It can help motivate students to learn a language through their interest in a specific subject, or make a subject more appealing by learning a language.
BRITISH CULTURE AND SOCIETY (BCS) 1 week course
In an increasingly international and multicultural Europe, it is essential that people of all ages are made aware of other cultures and ways of life.Our British Culture and Society course focuses on various aspects of British culture that might have not been encountered by teachers in their career, and how they can be explored in language classrooms in all sectors of education.
TEACHING YOUNG LEARNERS (TYL) 1 week course
ADC College’s Teaching Young Learners course gives teachers of under 12s a wide variety of fun and innovative activities to get and keep kids interested in learning English. Drawing on our tutors’ extensive experience of teaching young learners, we present both more traditional classroom activities as well as those which exploit new technologies to keep students engaged.
MANAGING AND DEVELOPING SELF AND OTHERS (MDSO) 1 week course
Modern human resources and leadership techniques are as relevant in a school or college setting as they are in business. Our MDSO course is aimed at Head- and Deputy Head teachers of all types of educational institution, as well as any other school staff responsible for the development of their colleagues, and shows how these ideas can be integrated into a school environment.
LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT FOR TEACHERS (LDT) 1 or 2 week course
Our Language Development course is aimed at improving teachers’ English language skills so as to provide them with the confidence and abilities needed to support their teaching and students. We focus on different skills and systems, such as listening, speaking, grammar and vocabulary, and every class includes moments of discussion. These will help raise teachers’ awareness of how to use some of the approaches and activities presented in their own classrooms.
